Rituals of Healing

Rituals of Healing welcomes Samantha Eddy to our team. Samantha provides inspiration through Rituals of Healing, Inc., social media, her photography, mindfulness & yoga practice and everyday life. Sam is a bright light and we are delighted to have her!

Samantha has been an avid mindfulness practitioner for over eight years. Her journey started with a severe back injury from soccer and overwhelming anxiety, which she is forever grateful to: they led her to make mindful decisions for her mind and body. Sam started practicing yoga at a local YMCA and eventually started a meditation practice. She graduated in 2012 from the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, and it changed every single aspect of her being.

Now a yoga teacher, she has no back pain anymore and lives an empowered life where anxiety does not inhibit daily functioning. Sam graduated with her degree in Psychology, and was accepted into Palo Alto University’s Clinical Psychology doctorate program for Fall 2017. She has a focus on trauma and mindful therapies, and hopes to provide research to the military and psychological community on the benefits of mindful exercises such as a yoga practice and meditation. Sam is an avid supporter of Veterans Yoga Project, and recently completed their Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery training.

In her spare time, Sam loves spending time outside, doing anything from hiking up the nearest mountain, to slacklining between two palm trees. She has lived in Peru and Iceland, and you will never see her without her black labrador, Nalah. She is a member of the Baha’i Faith, and is endlessly grateful to the Baha’i community for opening her eyes to the beautiful unity within diversity that exists in our world. Two words to describe Sam are optimistic and passionate. She is so grateful to Dr. Regina at Rituals of Healing for being a source of mindful healing to others, and aspires to provide this mindful healing to others in her everyday life.
