Denise holds a Masters Degree is Spiritual Psychology and a Juris Doctorate in Law. She is well versed in helping and holding people in crisis for over twenty-five years; Her first formal clinical training was that of a suicide hotline counselor in 1995. Later she worked at the Children’s Advocacy Center and participated in the Children in Prison Project. Denise continued her focus of empowering those in suffering as a victim/offender mediator, sometimes conducting mediations on serious crimes. Denise moderated offender-to-offender mediations between adolescent young women at the San Diego jail and peer-to-peer mediator training(s) for elementary-age children.
Finding Scott Kiloby’s Inquiry work was a pivotal moment for Denise.
Inquiry deepened her understanding, depth of awareness, and capacity. Specifically, she noticed freedom, an increased ability to respond differently in situations that had held her captive for years. She became a
Certified Facilitator of The Kiloby Inquiries and joined the staff at The Kiloby Center for Recovery, an outpatient center, and at The Natural Rest House, a residential/detox facility, from December 2019 to July 2022. Today Denise provides individual sessions in The Kiloby Inquiries over Zoom.
Her greatest passion continues to be in sharing these powerful tools and empowering others to unhook from old stuck patterns – in any area of their lives – and experience freedom instead.
