SELECTING A SAN DIEGO THERAPIST, PSYCHOLOGIST OR COACH

Making a decision to see a therapist can take a lot of courage, and finding the right one can take time. It’s important to find a therapist with the qualifications, life experience, and track record of success in helping people like you. The interaction between you and the provider (therapist, coach, or psychologist) should feel authentic and natural.

One of the problems that clients come across in their search is scheduling. People frequently report leaving messages for practitioners and do not receive a return phone call. This does occur, and it can be frustrating when you need help. Unfortunately, this happens. Keep trying. You will find the right person.

To eliminate this issue, I suggest trying practitioners who offer self-scheduling. This cuts the phone tag and time delay between the decision to seek therapy and your first appointment.

You can schedule a free initial consultation with me here. The free consultation is a brief < 15-minute meet and greet. It is not a therapy session. 15 minutes will give us both a general sense of one another, which is important in making your decision. Notice how you feel. Have your general questions ready to go and a pad of paper and pen.

Need more than 15 minutes? You can schedule an extended, paid consultation here. If you are ready to get going, you may schedule the paid initial consultation hour (60 mins), or half-hour (30 mins) you may here. Check back regularly; sometimes, you can get an appointment on the same day if someone cancels!

Track Record of Success

I have been seeing clients for 20 years. More than likely, I have walked someone through feelings similar to those you are experiencing. I am confident I can help you navigate these places successfully, and it is my honor to do so.

I believe that everyone has to capacity to love life, and I also know that there are difficult times in life when this seems utterly impossible. Fortunately and unfortunately, all is impermanent.

I’m a Licensed Psychologist by the California Board of Psychology, License #25050. Learn more about my education, specialties and qualifications.
